Catalyst on the Road this Sunday @ the Y with Guests Mark and Jill Herringshaw

Worship, 10 a.m. this Sunday, May 26 will be at the Alexandria-Area YMCA, featuring guests Mark and Jill Herringshaw from Praise FM.  There will also be singing and testimonies from people being transformed by God, along with nursery care and a special time for kids ages four through second grade.  Following worship everyone is invited to stay for lunch in the Y lounge, with free day passes at the Y for all guests attending the service.  Catalyst will also meet at the Y on June 2 and June 9 before returning to Woodland School June 16.  For more information,  contact the Catalyst office at 320-759-1800.

Mark Herringshaw, announcer and Osakis studio manager for Praise FM, has a passion for using storytelling, Biblical scholarship and scientific research to help turn information into transformation.  A pastor for 25 years, including serving at teaching and interim lead pastor at North Heights Lutheran Church in the Twin Cities, Mark also serves as an adjunct faculty member in Northern Seminary’s Doctor of Ministry program, and as a coach and consultant with 3D Ministries, a network of churches and church plants from a variety of denominations.  He completed graduate studies in theology at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN and the PhD. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA.

Jill Herringshaw’s passion is to bring healing and restoration to people through worship and the arts as a worship leader, singer, speaker and song-writer.  Jill’s worship song “For God so Loved” was released on Lifescapes’ worship CD in 2006, distributed nationally at Target stores. She also co-composed two songs for a Lifescapes children’s CD in 2007 and released a CD in 2006, “Mary, Mother of All Joys” depicting the life of Jesus through Mary’s eyes.  A native of Minneapolis, Jill graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. in Communications and Music. She also completed studies with the Academy of Performing Arts in Cambridge, Ontario.
