Our Story
This past year God has been bringing together people from the Greater Alexandria Area to plant a new mission congregation. We believe “the local church is the hope of the world;” at the same time we sense God is up to something new and that he’s calling us to join him in this new work. In Isaiah 43:19 God said, ”For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers for them in the desert!”
A growing number of adults and kids are coming together to make Catalyst Church a reality. We want to be God’s people in fresh ways and in strategic locations throughout the Central Lakes Area, and we’re excited to see how God is opening doors and confirming this vision. We are grateful for early support and partnerships with Alexandria Covenant Church, the Northwest Conference, and the nationwide family of Evangelical Covenant Churches, as well as over 70 prayer partners and the encouragement of many churches and ministries in our area.
